Downloading the ftp client was easy. I went straight to the site recommended and following the links.

While downloading the program i looked at the user guide.

FTP or file transfer protocol is the main way in which to transfer files over the Internet. This usage applies to file sharing such as music or movies however I quickly realised that i have already used ftp probably many times a week in my role as a web master for a web site. FTP is essential for web master to transfer files to and from the server where your web page is located.
After downloading the Ipswitch ftp program i had problems connecting to the curtin site. I am not sure at this stage if this has something to do with my Zone Alarm blocking me and I am looking into it. For the purpose of the exercise however I ran the ftp program which i use called WS_FTP which is a free program for non business users only.
With this ftp I had no problems connecting. I quickly located the readme.text file in the MSC Folder.
The answer the the question is
CAPITALIZATION
Having used ftp on a regular basis I found this process easy. After successfully gaining access via my own ftp program i then played around with my Zone Alarm setting and attempted to access the program via Ipswitch FTP again, which this time i managed with no problems.
